The North Rustico Lions Club doesn’t generally make a habit of promoting the community work we do. We believe charity is a responsibility as opposed to a point of pride. Over the past year our club has donated approximately SEVENTY THOUSAND dollars to community members in need, through a combination of both private and group donations. These funds have assisted with medical need and transportation, as well as for youth sports such as Minor Hockey and Ringette.
Working in conjunction with the local food bank, we endeavor to ensure that no one goes hungry in our community.
Being the major sponsor for the Gulf Shore Consolidated School’s new OUTDOOR LEARNING GAZEBO, we believe that our children are our future.
Youth sport is an important area of support for The North Rustico Lions Club. We are excited to have fully funded the purchase of a state-of-the-art Zamboni for the new The Eliyahu Wellness Centre Rink in North Rustico.
In supporting our community, we are the major sponsor for The North Rustico Sea Walk boardwalk. This huge undertaking has provided more than a kilometer of safe walking trail for residents and visitors alike.
For many years we have made significant donations to both the QEH and PCH hospitals. The health and well-being of our community of utmost importance to us.
